During summer with its hot temperatures, it is ideal to discover the area on 2 or 4 wheels. A scooter is favourable for amateur drivers to get to know the nearby sights (we recommend a radius of about 50km).
Experienced drivers with appropriate equipment and drivers licence can surely pass over the whole island.
In general you have to consider, that road conditions are not the same as back home (drive carefully and slowly), see also General driving style.
New since last summer are the “Quads” (4-wheeled bikes), which also can be used by not very experienced drivers.
It is self-evident that also over here one is obligated to wear a helmet
